How do I go out with this girl at my school?
Ok, hi. Sorry for the most original title ever, but there’s no other way to say it.

I’ll give you the full story, going back to third grade:

I was in a private school where I had been since kindergarten. It was really small, but great teachers and a great program. I had a few solid friends and was quite bright, the teacher really liked me and I had no enemies. Then my parents were divorced and and I moved with my mom to Palos Verdes, a rich neighborhood with the best public school district in California.

I became sort of a loner and kept to myself. I had trouble adjusting, but it turned out ok. As I moved through Elementary school, I made some friends and we sort of bonded into a group of five. I was sort of considered a semi-dork among the school, but I had all I needed socially.

Then middle school. One of the five went to a different school, and we stuck together for a little while. Then it became more and more like myself and Zak versus the two others. They went their separate ways, and 6th grade ended like that.

That whole time, I had a huge crush on a Tracy, a popular kid from elementary school. She was friends with Brent, one of the other 5, because he was also popular. While Brent and I were close I became good friends with him and really worked hard to keep up a strong friendship. After a while it started to feel like I was giving and not receiving, or even that she was using me. That was during 6th grade, and I sort of broke off from Tracy and Brent. I still remained solid with Zak, but Brent and I stopped being friends shortly after. I was convinced that Tracy and Brent liked each other, but no proof yet.

Now Zak is the only constant in my life socially, but recently in Science I befriended the star of this wall of text, Ashley. We sit in pairs of two, and we were assigned together. She isn’t really popular, and isn’t really what you’d call ‘hot’, but she’s really nice and sweet and, in my opinion, cute.

We were assigned a large Science project together, and had to spend a lot of time together at the library and computer lab. We talked a lot and it felt so natural. There was no strain for topics or things to say. We just started and it flowed, we could talk for hours theoretically. She isn’t in any of Tracy or Brent’s social circles, which is great because I have sort of a bad reputation there after Brent started rumors about me for god knows what. Oh and by the way we aced the project with a 103% grade.

We stayed seat partners for a while, and still got on great. We began to exchange email, mostly chain letters and homework questions, but even in letters we still had great conversations. The boy in front of us commented twice on us ‘flirting’, which was just met with a quiet giggle from her and a smile from me, and we just kept on talking. We shared a lot of the same interests and sensibilites, it was great.

Then we were moved again, and now we sit on opposite sides of the classroom. I spoke to her occasionally out of class, usually while entering or exiting, but I was mostly talking and I didn’t want to sound desperate or awkward. We exchanged one more email, but Then it stopped. It’s been eight days now, but I don’t believe she’s ignoring me, she said once before she rarely checks it.

I didn’t want to try to hard, and I worried I might be obsessing with her, as I would look at her a lot in class, making sure never the less our eyes didn’t meet. I sort of pulled away a little, but I still think about her constantly. What should I do? My ultimate goal is to go out with her, but I’m a ways from there now.
By the way looking back a lot of this is unrelated. Start at paragraph 5 if you’re lazy.

Well if you don’t think you know her enough to date her then get to know her. Go up to her in the hall way on breaks and at lunch and have a chat. After a bit you might get more used to bein around her and hell you could even ask her to a movie or something, just walk up with confidence and ask away. Oh ya it’s up to you if you want her to think of it as a date or just as friends, if you don’t lean either way when you ask her it’s whatever her mind thinks it is. But if she thinks its just as friends but she likes you it will still make her feel your more into her. Take her on a few more dates and yippykayay you gotta girlfriend. Pull up your big boy pants and don’t be afraid to go outside your boundaries. After you got her the rest is up to you. Best a luck.

armstrong is right. the biggest piece of advice from to you which i should have done but didnt in middle school. you like this girl? you really do? you really had great conversations. you know a lot about her? she knows a lot about you? you gotta find a chance to ask her out. whether its in front of her friends or just you and her. trust me the time will be right when you know to ask her out. just be sure to do it soon. because from what i have learned she WILL move on to other guys.

1. Today I bought her a rope toy she already ripped apart, some pig ears she loves and her favorite Merrick food. Yea it was my serious dog store trip!

Recently Criterion released this movie fully restored and filled with a large amount of extra material including an extensive commentary. Why Wasn’t actor Adam West, one of the stars of the movie, included in anything? Except for his name in the credits and his onscreen performance, there is absolutely no mention of him, no participation or anything. Not even a still of him in the production photos. Is there an explanation?

Adam West has only a tiny role in this film, with his character killed very early. He is not the star of the film, so why should he be noted that much? Again, it’s a bit part.

The real stars are Paul Mantee and (Victor) Vic Lundin, plus Barney the Woolly Monkey as Mona. The only other person is the scientist giving a lecture in the tape Draper plays a couple of times.

Flapper Dress for School Play?
I’m part of the musical at my middle school. We’re doing Bugsy Malone this year. Though all characters have names in this play, (i.e.- Grand Slam Girls- Loretta, Velma…. etc) we had 80 students audition and EVERY one got a part. I play a Grand Slam Girl, though I have no lines and no name. Me and about 14 other girls do a few dance numbers though.

Our costumes are basically just two different dresses with a few accessories. We have our "day dresses’ and performance dresses. Our school will order the performance dresses because they are used when we sing and dance at the speakeasy. They have to match. The day dresses are used when we’re just walking around in the background or whenever the Grand Slam Girls do something in the play other than a performance. These are not allowed to match!!

Im going through a BAD break up with my husband and its getting really messy now!?
basically we got married last July, July the 4th and he moved out with out any warning on the 26th of august, since the wow it has been a roller coaster of mad lows, emotions flying all over, and just me ripping him to shreds! if Im honest for the past five months I have been trying to make him feel the hurt betrayal and brokenness I felt that night when I came home and realized that he took ALL his thing and left. Now that I have achieved that its to no gain and I really just want him out of my life. Now here is where it gets complicated…. we have a five yr old together, this man thought me forgiveness is for fools, he has never been a father to my son till last January when he turned up with sad stories about how hes sorry and needs meaning in his life and how much he loves me and wants to make things better I forgave him for the past four years of hurt and disappointment married him then he does the same thing again!! Since leaving he has come back many times crying and begging me to take him back and I did a few times until i saw he just wasn’t gonna change, oh yea did i say I found e-mails of a sexual nature to his ex girls friend four days after we got married, telling her of a dream he had of her and him trying to meet up with her! anyway now I gave up my job to look for full time and through all this drama Ive been out of work for 5 months now so you can imagine how stressful it is and he doesn’t want to give me any money, he says one amount then i always get less, there is always an excuse, wild animals stole his bank card!…… and its very frustrating because Im left to pay bills they "we" were responsible for now its all on me……… so through it all now that he knows I don’t want him suddenly mr absentee father wants to see his son, fair enough I have never stopped him, so we agreed for him to take our son out on saturday at 12, but he turned up at 4!!!!! so when he showed up asking for our son I told him its too late the arrangement was for 12 not 4 and its too late he asked to come in and I told him I don’t want him in my house and with that he pushed his way into my house choked me then slapped me so hard my glasses flew across the ground all in the presence of our son!!!!!!! Now my question is do I still put all this aside and make further arrangements with him to see our son because its the right thing to do or get as far away from him as possible?

too bad that slap didnt’ knock some sense into you. GET A LAWYER AND FILE FOR DIVORCE. then he will have to give you money. he is not willing to do what it takes to change – he needs help and you n eed to keep your kid away from that kind of drama.

OMG.. get away from him.. how can you allow this behavior to continue in front of your poor son.. he must have been so scared.. I can only imagine. Please see a lawyer and let them know what happened.. you can only causing yourself the stress and drama by continuing to allow this man in your life!!
